Who is Like You

"I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. . .  The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name. . . Who among the gods is like you, O LORD ?  Who is like you—  majestic in holiness,  awesome in glory, working wonders. . . The LORD will reign for ever and ever." Exodus 15:1-18

The Israelites saw the Lord’s hand at work in mighty ways. . . but they hadn’t had the fullness of God’s Son come into their world to save them.  They saw the mighty hand of God rescue them from the Egyptians, but they hadn’t seen the mighty hand of the Savior rescue them from the much greater enemy of our souls - our sin.  We have seen it.  We have seen the mighty hand of our Lord in all his loveliness and glory and goodness save us.  How much more can we say “Who is Like You God?”  How much greater should our overflowing gratitude and worship be to our Savior?  Let your life be one that backs up this statement of praise. . . Let our practice be that God is better than anything.  Better than riches or food or sex or fame.  Let our lives reflect the glory of our matchless God!

You are altogether lovely so blind us with your beauty 

And captivate us living God

We taste and see Your goodness and glory in Your presence

Captivate us living God

Who is like You Lord - an all consuming fire

Who is like You Lord - mighty in strength

Who is like You Lord

The lion-hearted Lamb the humble Great I Am

Who is like You?

Victorious death made a way to You

And as You were raised, we were raised with You

So Lord send us out as we spread the news

That You are the Lord and You will reign
